本片由張徹執導，編劇是為張徹編過很多劇本的倪匡，聯合導演午馬曾於多部張徹電影任執行導演，並由傅聲與甄妮夫婦領銜主演。張徹帶出大批人才，令此片生色不淺。故事描述，年青馬車伕鍾堅（傅聲）因救助少女（甄妮）而與惡霸結怨；馬車老闆恐惹禍上身，把他辭退。鍾堅決志除暴安良，隨少林蔡李佛名家習武，向惡勢力挑戰。最後，他學得高深武藝，將肆無忌憚、魚肉巿民的惡霸除掉，令地方歸於平靜。
